The WrkCrew promise

Every job shows the actual pay. No exceptions.

Hiding wages is how good workers get ripped off, how employers waste time on bad-fit applicants, and how the entire trades hiring process became broken. We're fixing it.

The promise

Every job posted on WrkCrew must include a real hourly pay range. If an employer won't disclose it, the post doesn't go live. This applies to every employer, every plan, every market.

We allow

  • • “$38-$46 per hour”
  • • “$42/hr base + $4 travel premium”
  • • “Apprentice pay scale: $24/hr (Y3) - $32/hr (Y5)”
  • • “$48/hr + per diem + LOA”

We don't allow

  • • “Competitive wages”
  • • “DOE” / “Based on experience”
  • • “Up to $60/hr” with no minimum
  • • Ranges with more than 40% spread (e.g. $20-$50/hr)

Why we do this

It saves everyone time.Workers filter themselves into roles that match their pay expectations. Employers stop wasting interview slots on candidates who'll decline at offer stage. Mismatched expectations are the single biggest source of failed hires.

It rewards good employers.Contractors who pay competitively benefit from being able to show it. Contractors who lowball get filtered out before they waste a worker's afternoon. That's the market working correctly.

It protects workers from exploitation. Hidden pay creates information asymmetry that almost always works against the worker. Removing it removes a major source of wage theft and lowballing.

It's where regulation is heading anyway.Pay transparency is already mandatory in several US states (New York, California, Colorado, Washington) and is being considered federally in Canada. We're ahead of the curve, not behind it.

If an employer pressures us to change this:

Our answer is no. This rule defines WrkCrew. We'd rather lose a high-dollar customer than break trust with the worker side of the platform. If you're an employer who doesn't want to disclose pay, WrkCrew probably isn't the right platform for you. There are plenty of others.

Real pay. Every time.
